Blackjack Basic Strategy Trainer

Blackjack Strategy Coach is a free blackjack trainer that gives instant feedback on every hit, stand, double, and split decision. The table models a 4-deck shoe where the dealer stands on soft 17, blackjack pays 3:2, doubling after a split is allowed, and there is no surrender or insurance. Every move you make is compared against basic strategy for those rules, with the expected value difference shown when you deviate.

It is built for beginners who want to stop guessing and for experienced players who want to remove the last few leaks from their game. Use the strategy grid below as a reference while you play, then switch to Common Mistake Training to drill the hands that cost players the most, or to the card counting mode to practice a Hi-Lo running count at table speed.

How the trainer works

  1. Step 1

    Start a hand

    Place a practice bet and deal. You see your two cards and the dealer upcard exactly as you would at a live table.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the best move

    Pick hit, stand, double, or split. The trainer compares your choice against basic strategy for this ruleset.

  3. Step 3

    Review the feedback

    Each deviation shows the book action and the expected value cost, so you learn why a move is right, not just what it is.

  4. Step 4

    Repeat the weak spots
